From enquiry to specificationWhat should be assessed before commercial spraying?
Good preparation and a suitable coating specification are critical. The questions below are a useful starting point for discussing an external commercial job, not a promise that a particular system or treatment is right for every building.
SurveySurface material and condition
What is the building clad in? Is the coating factory-applied or previously repainted? Are there areas of oxidation, peeling, contamination, leaks or damaged panels? A compatible system cannot be selected from colour alone.
PreparationCleaning, adhesion and masking
Preparation may involve cleaning and degreasing, removal of loose material, repairs or spot treatment as required by the selected product. Signage, doors, glazing, vehicles, adjacent buildings and services all need to be considered.
ApplicationWeather and overspray management
Temperature, humidity, wind, exposure and access can restrict when work is possible. Any spray equipment, containment and protective measures must suit the job and its surroundings.
HandoverColour, finish and documentation
Discuss required colour references, sheen, manufacturer technical guidance, maintenance considerations and what information should be recorded in the job specification. We only confirm warranties or expected performance when supported by the chosen system.
